PHILIP NELSON Peacefully at his residence on June 18, 2008, Philip Nelson aged 89 years of Lundar, MB. Philip is survived by his daughter Geraldine Nelson, a brother Arnold (Loreley) Nelson all of Lundar, MB along with many nieces, nephews and good friends. He was predeceased by his wife Jonina, two brothers and two sisters. Dad was born in Deerhorn, MB on August 23, 1918. He farmed for many years on the family homestead. In 1949 he moved into town, drove truck for a few years and then took a mechanics course and owned and operated Acme Auto Service in Lundar for 32 years. After he sold his business and retired, Philip spent a little time travelling. He and his brothers will always be remembered for the band they played together in. A private family graveside memorial service will be held at the Lundar Municipal Cemetery with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
